Contemporary art for Children

An Exhibition for Children (And Other People) curated by Jeremy Deller

An Exhibition for Children (And Other People) curated by Jeremy Deller at Kunstverein Hannover, has caught my attention for many reasons.

The artist-curator takes children seriously, although he is not serious himself.

Deller feels that adults bring notions and fears about contemporary art, whereas children are much more receptive and open-minded.

This is something I want to tell everyone who ridicules contemporary art.

It’s an answer for their disregard for high art.

Jérémy Deller has captured this spirit in the title of his book, Art is Magic: A Children’s Book for Adults
