Is Nicolas Cuche relying on Hollywood comedy formula?

As a B1 FLE student, I searched for a French comedy on Netflix India and found Pourris Gâtés (spoiled brats).

The millionaire dad who pretends to be broke to reform his spoiled brat children, the plot itself is very humorous, and the film lived up to my expectation. As a genre, it looks like an inversion of rags-to-riches storyline. How it is different from Schitt’s Creek is that, here the downgraded lifestyle is make-belief, staged by the millionaire father figure.

Nicolas Cuche, the director of the film; Regardez plus de ses films.

But culturally, the humour is not very different from Hollywood comedies, generally Western, when I look at it from India.
